After forecasters predicted the internet will run out of space by the end of 2011, a new IP will undergo tests in June. Net giants, Google, Facebook and yahoo have all announced they will participating in the 24 hour testing of a new IPv6 solution on June 8th. Some sites such as YouTube already use the new IP but the testing of it on such a large scale has never been done before. The Ipv6 will support more addresses, a total of 3.4 (followed by 38 zeros). The present 32-bit Ipv4 format has been in place for over thirty years.
